This competition is focused on 3rd
year UKM Chemical Engineering student. This competition is also evaluated as
their final marks. The purpose of conducting the open ended lab is to create a
fun project-based learning environment that will develop students to be professional
and highly ethical future engineers.
COEL challenge will set a new standard
by equipping the students to be:
- Able to write good and effective report
- Creative to compress and present their projects into a high quality poster presentations
- Can cooperate within groups to plan and conduct experiment, analyzing data and results
- Able to deliver their ideas/design/products/presentation effectively.
The competition will be held a week
before the day of the event. After the evaluation process, the top five will
exhibit their projects, ready to introduce, propose, present and convince
people on their products.

- Second prize : Cash RM200 + Trophy + Certificate by UKM
- Third prize : Cash RM100 + Trophy + Certificate by UKM
- Fourth and fifth prize : Hamper worth of RM80 + Trophy + Certificate by UKM
The winner will be interviewed and it will be published on university/outside media (digital board, bulletin or magazines).
